For the past few years, I also have had a pretty nice little freelance thing going on with my nights and weekends. Unfortunately or in hind-sight, fortunately, the work slowed in pace with the withering economy. Suddenly I wound up with 50 or so extra hours a week and a butt-load of graphic equipment sitting idle. So I bought a camera and have been at it for the last couple of years. The other night my youngest daughter was looking over my shoulder as I was weeding crappy shots out of my library and she asked me "What are you doing with all these pictures, Daddy?". It made me pause and the only answer I had was "I'm collecting them." It got me thinking maybe I should try to sell a few and convince myself that L series lenses aren't that expensive.
