Lee Cordrey was born in 1944 in Texas. He studied at the Academy of Art in San Francisco in the early sixties. Completed commission work for a few years in San Francisco, with many works of the city as his subject. He was exclusively represented at Columbus Gallery on Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco for a number of years. In the late 70’s he moved to the Virgin Islands studying local wildlife and Caribbean waters known for their unparalleled beauty. His works were represented at Frenchman's Reef Art Gallery on St. Thomas, U.S.V.I.

Lee currently lives and works in Hawaii. He has numerous style techniques at his command, never wanting to be limited to any particular style but able to follow whatever inspirations require. He does commissions for many collectors as well as following his own visions of reality.
