When I first began painting, I mostly used acrylic but watercolor quickly became my favorite medium for its clarity and spontaneity. I also frequently incorporate salt and oil pastels in my pieces to create texture, drama and vitality. Everyday we are surrounded by the most ordinary objects that have a beautiful sense of aliveness and I strive to capture that essence in my work.
