I grew up in one of those rare households where being an artist was considered a _good_ thing. My mother was an artist as are my sister and niece. My journey to art has taken a circuitous route. I drew and doodled as a child, spent a ten-year stint as a graphics production artist, briefly majored in art in college, and then abandoned art for several years. Fortunately, an eye-opening trip to Italy led me back to my true love and purpose.
