Born in the suburbs...I was drawn to rural mountains and the great outdoors.

Early in photography, it became clear that some aspects of nature photography prefer not to be possessed, but appreciated, just as they are. These challenges inspire me (and others like me) to keep trying.

Still Life and Architecture become "The New Classroom":
Whether photographing architecture or simple objects in a room, the history lesson draws me in, with that third-eye-feeling: The items pull me in and I’m in the past… observing the simplicities and complexities of life and quiet moments, once upon a time. With each snap of the shutter, I draw one more breath from the life that once shaped those places.

Every region in the United States preserves its own unique past. The tools and architecture, discovered in each region, represent the distinctive fingerprints, unique to its own history and survival. ((With a nod to Sir Hippie Jack)) I, too am grateful to be living in this time of transition, when pieces and places of American history still exist. I am thankful for those who appreciate our beginnings and have helped to preserve it.

Portraits are most precious and personal to me.
Family, friends and clients allow me the opportunity to photograph their special moments. It's the work, following each event, which I cherish most, when I am able to take my time and look into their hearts. I appreciate each client. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you. It is absolutely my pleasure.
