I'm a full time artist and I'm also a musician! I dabble in photography, it's always been a secret love of mine! Whenever I go outside I search for compositions that make you look at something differently. Make you want to take a closer look. I enjoy shooting everyday nature, yet I try to give it emotion. I have a business Artwork by KD and currently I've been concentrating on creating earrings. I strive for bold colors and organic shapes. I'm proud to say that most of my earrings are made from recycled materials. These are materials used in my household daily. I pay special attention to those materials that are not recyclable in my community. It gives me such great pleasure to know I'm creating colorful, wearable pieces out of a material that is destined for a heap somewhere. I also make earrings that I call Faux-Stone. They are circular earrings that look like old weathered stone, except they are in brilliant, rich colors. All different sizes! I'm very passionate about these earrings. They are an extension of me and my personal style. I hope you like them!
I'm also an oil painter. I enjoy still life and portrait painting. I have a BFA (painting) and a minor in art history.
Musically I'm a singer songwriter and I play guitar and some bass. I have an acoustic duo with my husband. We play a wide array of music including classic rock, current songs and also original material. We have a CD for purchase and we're getting ready to start a new album soon!
