Hi and welcome to my page:
Wishing everyone a Happy New Year! I am so pleased to have showed with Artists Wanted for their Facebook contest: Art takes Times Square this past June! In 2013 you will be able to find my original piece, "Womb" exhibited for the Ground Arts & Art Start "Home Project" at 526 W 26th St. 9E-9F in Chelsea, NY beginning on March 7th and running for a week. This exhibition is designed to empower children through art and proceeds of the exhibit will fund an art space for At-Risk NYC children.
I am also pleased to announce that I have been selected to be published in Volume 2 of the Franklin & Marshall Alumni Arts Review due out this April!!! Here a Non-Imagekind gallery piece has been chosen, so you can see more of my portfolio here soon!
For me Art reflects divinity- pure creative force. As an artist it all begins with the empty canvas and a meditational awareness. (Nothingness which gives space for creating and re-creating movements of energy) What is sought is to see again - reflections of oneness, perhaps. Perceptions that weave together a glowing tapestry of Love. What is it to observe oneself? Perhaps (The artist) a bit literally and figuratively is drawn to beauty that moves through in a body of waves. In qauntum detail, our science is revealing that we as energetic beings are composed of particles and waves like light itself. We are the stuff of stars. For this artist, art is color and dynamics of shape, texture and form at play with light. All matter breathed in and art breathed out. Art brings us form and substance in harmonic stillness.
By placing faith in the art, the art becomes faithful -- mine is uniquely guided by my interests and passions for meditation and mystical traditions and the amazing power of color and light! Each print connects to the colors of life force energy and reflects a love for "drawing in light" -- a relaxing and empowering journey of transmitting and translating the beauty of hidden vibrations that exist all around us.
Many prints are designed to be turned and rotated until fitting to one's heart's content. There is no right or wrong way -- simply a pleasure of play. The more you enjoy the more you see ....
It is my desire to communicate through this gallery that even with all the upheavals in our personal, professional, local, regional and global worlds that the universe gifts each of us an ability to see beauty everywhere.
Through the expanding "re"-combinations of color , texture and light one may become aware of subtle positive changes in how one feels physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
With the hecticness and chaos of life may these images support the desire for connecting to personal balance from inside and out.
Open the heart of creativity.
Richard
