My name is Kurt Tarvis (pseudonym Kurt Tavares). I am orgininally from the Boston area of New England and later lived in ME, VT, RI, NH, PA, WV and GA.

From 2006 to 2009 I focused mostly on landscapes in interesting places I would travel to. From 2010 to 2016 I almost exclusively focused on photographing abandoned and forgotten structures. Since 2016, I have focused mainly on "perfectionist" architecture, landscapes, and Appalachian life.
