I began oil painting in 2003 and take art classes through my local community college. I enjoy painting images from pictures that my husband and I have taken on trips and vacations, mostly around our home state of North Carolina. I also enjoy painting still lifes and animals, especially dogs. Simple backgrounds highlight the bright colors and detail of the main subject in my paintings.
