Laura Elizabeth Woodson was born in 1979 in Norfolk, Virginia with the dream of becoming a professional artist since she was about 6 years old. Beth grew up exploring drawing, painting, sculpture and photography on her own until studying painting and printmaking at Virginia Commonwealth University where she was granted entry into juried shows at the school's gallery and received the Dr Luis and Ruth Harris purchase award in painting. Beth has had exhibitions in the United States, Australia and Germany with collectors from around the world. During her travels, Ms Woodson taught several drawing workshops in Sydney, Australia. She is currently contributing imagery for the photography magazine "Coterie" and working in several mediums from her home studio in Virginia.
