Growing up in Indonesia & Holland, I have always been fascinated and interested by Fine Art and many other Artistic expressions. I have painted & schetched since I was very young.
My mother was an Artist and I have learned a great deal from her flair for creating art & her zeal for living life.
After coming to the USA in the late fifties, I became a foreign car mechanic for over 25 years in the San Francisco Bay area, and in Soulsbyville in the Sierra mountains of California. (dutch indo artist)

The Artistic Hippie culture in San Francisco was a great era to have experienced first hand, and I still draw on those crazy days for my painting and my Retro Hippie Shirts. @ nickshippieshirts.com

So most of my life I have been an Artist, painting on canvas or anything I could find, and creating free-form art in wood & metal and in many other media. I like vivid colors and sharp contrasts in my creations.
I also love to shoot photographs of the great landscapes up here in the Pacific North-West, and just paint this beautiful world that God created & that I see & experience around me each day. <><
