I'm an aquatic biologist by training, specializing in phytoplankton ecology. My second passion is photography. I got my first camera when I was 14 years old but apart from the occasional snapshots it wasn't used very much. Things changed when I bought my first digital camera in 2004. Soon, photography became one of my favourite hobbies. Evolving alongside my upgrades in equipment it is now my favourite way of expression.
