I have been fortunate to spend the last couple of years exploring ideas, making art, and traveling when possible. I started as a painter/drawer, but found that photography asked me to go out into the world becoming more of an active participant which is something I enjoy.
I work intuitively dealing with what the world will give me that day as well as exercising some control by seeking certain situations, settings, locations, and specific compositions. And I look for a little magic.
A place and moment in a photograph is a reflection of the photographers state of mind, but a photograph will also always capture what is exactly in front of you. I often find things that I didn't necessarily intend and delight in happy accidents.
I currently work with a Nikon D70 digital camera.
Update: I finally took one too many pictures with the D70 and it is broken. If you love my images as much as I love taking them please support my work so I can upgrade to a D90. My work as a courier won't pay for it and I require a professional camera as an artist! Losing my D70 is like losing a good friend to the grave!
