Before our Great Recession, I was fortunate to have spent a couple of years exploring ideas, making art, and traveling when possible. I started as a painter/drawer, but found that photography asked me to go out into the world becoming more of an active participant which is something I enjoy.

I work intuitively dealing with what the world will give me that day as well as exercising some control by seeking certain situations, settings, locations, and specific compositions. And I look for a little magic.

A place and moment in a photograph is a reflection of the photographers ...

Before our Great Recession, I was fortunate to have spent a couple of years exploring ideas, making art, and traveling when possible. I started as a painter/drawer, but found that photography asked me to go out into the world becoming more of an active participant which is something I enjoy.

I work intuitively dealing with what the world will give me that day as well as exercising some control by seeking certain situations, settings, locations, and specific compositions. And I look for a little magic.

A place and moment in a photograph is a reflection of the photographers state of mind, but a photograph will also always capture what is exactly in front of you. I often find things that I didn't necessarily intend and delight in happy accidents.

I currently work with a Nikon D90 digital camera. Previous pictures have been taken primarily with a D70, and on occasion D60.

I love photography and being out in the world that provides such beautiful images. I currently work as a courier and get images when/where possible. I look forward to the day when I can return to a life of making art full time. Hopefully, this will happen again. For now it is 50-60 hours a week as a courier, and my other time is devoted to art.
