Matthew graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 1997. Soon after he hopped on a plane and landed in America where he's been ever since. Matthew has dabbled with sideshow banners, Mexican wrestlers, giant robot cats, and the infamous "Monkey World" series.
Matthew Porter is a children's book illustator and writer. He currently has three books published with Vancouver, BC publishing house Simply Read Books. An aditional two books are in the works for release in 2009 and 2010. In addition his children's books Matthew co owns Bluebottle Art Gallery and Store in Seattle with his wife, Andrea. Bluebottle is headquarters for Matthew Porter's infamous Monkey World paintings and products.
