I'm a playwright who has been taking photos off and on for some years now. Though a person can't hope to capture all of the live theater that happens in a town Seattle's size, I've tried to capture a bit of our theatrical community backstage, onstage and offstage... and that stage where you find yourself in a bar. This website is also useful when someone mentions some actor types they would like to find, and I send them photos with links.

Lately I've had some success directing, which is all about making what is invisible - visible. And that has spurred me lately to try my hand at stockphotos, which are about making concepts visible.

The little town of Carnation, which my wife and I and our cat and dog live nearby, is about 45 minutes from Seattle. You can smell the strawberries ripening in the fields in the summer, and see the fields of Christmas trees being harvested in the winter, the fields of pumpkins being picked in the fall - and see the cows grazing everywhere in between.
