I've always tried to capture the essence of the energy or the mood of each subject. I'm especially known for my music and dance paintings. I try to paint music as the "sight" equivalent to the sound. So that even if you can't hear the note playing, you can still feel it and see it on canvas. I also use the flow and the brush strokes of the colors as a representation of the movement of the subject. So that it is not seen as "still", but rather the movement of the dancer is visualized and emotionally connected. I tend to have a very colorful collection because I use the color as a visual expression of the emotion, sound, movement, and energy behind the subject.

I used to draw when I was a young child. And for some reason I stopped. Moved around quite a bit and became busy with life's responsibilities as we all do. And then one day in my early 20’s, I decided I wanted to explore my creative side again. I started painting using oil and acrylic for the first time in my life. Prior to that I only sketched as a child. So I found that my true passion was painting. I fell in love with the brush and acrylic and oil mediums. And I have been painting ever since.

Painting for me has become a time where I can truly get lost. Lost in the brush strokes... Color mixing, and the subject of my painting. There's a little piece of my mind on each one of my paintings. And it is absolutely one of my favorite things to do. It's both therapeutic as well as it is a very gratifying experience to share the end result with others.

I've always had an epic appreciation for the arts. May it be creative writing/literature, fine art or paintings, music, and certainly dance. I believe every element of each can truly allow you to see into ones' soul. Just as it can reach into yours.
