“I paint houses; hundreds and thousands of houses. I paint them alone in a neglected pea patch or huddled together in community. They are a metaphor for our souls. The layers of history and paint reveal transformations felt but not seen.”
Jamie Johnson is a self taught artist from Salt Lake City. She combines layers of paint with journal writing, sanding, scraping and scrubbing.
