I am Ed Tajchman, and I have been developing my own unique style of painting for almost twenty years. I strive to create spiritually expressive work, pursuing my own individual style of art. Definitely influenced by such artists has Kandinsky, Van Gogh, Pollack, and Basquiat amongst others, you could say I'm primarily a modern artist. I have also spent seven years has a professional picture framer, framing and designing thousands of framing orders. This helped improve my color theory, design skills, and attention to detail. I see my art has this way of forming my own visual language of curves, lines, color and texture. The language of my soul & mind, so to speak. I take great pride in the fact that all my paintings & drawings are strictly by hand. I like technology, but I like creating with my hands more. In that sense, like I said, I am a classic 'modern' painter. Some of my other artistic influences are, deKooning, Matisse, Alex Grey, Dali. These people have also strongly influenced my work, mythologist Joseph Campbell, psychologist C.G. Jung, all great music. Movie directors Jim Jarmusch, David Lynch, and Tim Burton. I see creating art has a spiritual experience, a way of connecting to, and expressing, the 'void'.
