Gianna Costa

Gianna Costa is a “Jane of all trades,” with a resume that includes painting, graphic design, DJ’ing, singing, makeup artistry, and most importantly, interior design.

Born in Providence, Rhode Island, Gianna was heavily influenced by her father, an artist and art teacher at Bishop Hendricken High School in Warwick, Rhode Island. After receiving numerous awards for her art and design in high school, she went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree in studio art and psychology from Providence College.

Gianna Costa is a “Jane of all trades,” with a resume that includes painting, graphic design, DJ’ing, singing, makeup artistry, and most importantly, interior design.

Born in Providence, Rhode Island, Gianna was heavily influenced by her father, an artist and art teacher at Bishop Hendricken High School in Warwick, Rhode Island. After receiving numerous awards for her art and design in high school, she went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree in studio art and psychology from Providence College.

Gianna left Rhode Island in 2002 to explore the modern designs found in Los Angeles, a city whose modern aesthetic has always been inspiring. While working as a professional DJ, Gianna continued to hone her skills in her home studio and developed a strong interest in architecture and interiors. Recently, Gianna competed in the Legends of La Cienega Design Quarter, a tribute to legendary designer William Haines – her winning design was featured in the November 2009 issue of Elle Décor magazine.

Currently, Gianna is finished the Professional Degree Program in Interior Design at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and can be seen on HGTV’s Design School. She has aspirations of hosting her own design show wherein she can showcase her edgy point of view and East Coast attitude, along with her talent for all things design. When not designing, Gianna still works as a DJ, mixing music for clubs, private parties and events.
