I studied creative writing and painting at Elon University. Although painting was my concentration in school, I've found that I'm more drawn to mixed media and collage work. I've been making collages ever since high school, when I used to enjoy using oil pastels as well. Now I'm becoming drawn to seeing how collages can work on their own, simply through layering magazine cut-outs.
