My family and I live in the mountains of Southern California. I am happily married and have three handsome boys. We always tend to live in beautiful places; Sedona, AZ, Hawaii, Japan, Southern California mountains. Being surrounded by beauty is important to me and my family.
I lived in Japan for about 6 years in my 20s, volunteering and teaching English. Loved it. The people, the food, the art. Had a one-man show at a gallery there. I apprenticed to a famous regional ceramist and got to do several wood firings in her climbing chambered kiln. Great experience.

I use acrylics, house paint, watercolor pencils and anything else that I can get in my hands.
My favorite style is Abstract Expressionism
Artists and art styles that inspire me include; Modigliani, Vincent Van Gogh, Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, Franz Kline, Pablo Picasso, Peter Voulkos, Jasper Johns, Minerva Teichert, primitive and cave art, installation art, Japanese woodblock prints...
