My name is Nicole Castille. I am a wife to a wonderful loving & supportive husband & a mom to 2 beautiful grown young ladies. My husband & I live in beautiful Central Washington, along the Columbia River.

I cant give you a cute story of how I first began taking pictures. It has just been a part of my life since my teen years. I have albums full of photos of my children from when they were growing up. When my oldest daughter went into the US military & wanted some nice pictures of her in uniform, I began to think of ways to possibly make money doing what I love.

The more I explored photography, the more I loved it. Although I do take some casual portrait style photos, my love is in nature & wildlife. I’m told I have a way of seeing the world “outside the box”. I can also show people things & places they see daily, yet no longer truly see. All my exploring & learning is self taught or learned from fellow photographers & friends.

My photography really took off when my husband & I moved across the country in 2005. I found myself surrounded by so much natural beauty that it seemed the average person had forgotten was there. My business opened in 2006 with rave reviews from area residents as well as people I’ve met from around the US.

With my love for photography, also came a desire to be different. I go beyond just matted & framed prints. I’ve created a very unique style of note card with small portions of my images. I’ve put some of my work onto wooden & tile squares to create coasters. I’ve had fun turning images into book marks. What’s next? Honestly, the possibilities are almost endless. I like that.

My camera of choice is The Canon 40D. I shoot all digital now and love the world it has opened up for me. I enjoy taking what would be ordinary images & transforming them into my visions. I also do some traditional type work as well, but tend to lean to the outrageous colorful surreal type pieces. In the end, as long as I’m taking pictures, I love to explore all the avenues it presents.
