As a child, Denise loved to write poetry and give it to her friends.  This turned into her friends requesting prose of their feelings in rhyme as a teenager.  Her later teen years took a different direction for revealing thought and feeling and she picked up more art classes and pencils.As a young adult she began studying more complex ideas and conveyed thought through charcoal and pastel chalk.
