I began photography when I was running a private school in Malibu. What began as as a service to the parents who liked the photos I did of their kids having fun at school, expanded to doing holiday portraits of the kids to give as gifts to their parents, and quickly developed into a side business. Now I do photography as a hobby and for friends, and occasionally even a paying customer who hears about me word of mouth. I keep the business side limited, however, to keep it fun and artistic.
