Art for me is about exploring ideas.. I want to go to many different visual places. When I try to restrict myself.. my work gets dull… and I get bored. Not too surprisingly I also enjoy travel.
My predominant interest is the landscape whether urban or rural. I enjoy building towards a type of vaguely realistic depiction using basic abstract elements. My work varies from semi to totally abstract. But I also like to digress into other types of imagery... hence "the random art" tag.

I’m a bit cynical about the modern world and this finds its way into a lot of my work, sometimes in humour, sometimes anger.. sometimes in a naive wonder. I respond in my own way to the madness that is modern life.
Sometimes I like to take people out of the picture and just show what is left.. this strange modern world we have created… where we drive round in tin boxes and sit in front of a screen watching flickering pictures in our living rooms.
I also enjoy myths, religious ideas and legends.. and so these characters wander in from time to time.
I get a buzz (and a cheque) from anyone paying out their hard earned money for a piece of my work. I don’t bite and generally enjoy responding to questions about my work.
