Hi, I’m Josh and I’m a painter with a mission to add beauty to the world. I like to paint the essence and potential of my subjects that I am most passionate about. But here’s a little history of myself if you want to know about the man behind the art.

Hi, I’m Josh and I’m a painter with a mission to add beauty to the world. I like to paint the essence and potential of my subjects that I am most passionate about. But here’s a little history of myself if you want to know about the man behind the art.
I was born in Hempstead, NY in 1971 and grew up in New Jersey, Connecticut and Arizona. I was nomadic from the beginning. Art was a turning point at 19 years old when I took an art course in college and switched my major and life to art and never looked back. I have participated in over 30 group and solo shows displaying my vision, selling my art for those who want to see. Certain things were strong from the beginning, such as using a limited palette so my colors would be harmonious. I still use this technique, but with warm and cool colors of the primary colors. I use water-mixable oils and will continue using natural resources to help the environment and my conscience clean. I have painted with an impressionist style because it’s what is most natural for my expression.
Over the years, my style and interests have evolved into a deeper and mystical perspective. I’ve been through many hardships, including homelessness and depression, family loss and renewal of relationships. It has made me become a stronger and wiser person, as well as a better artist. I truly believe one affects the other.
Today, I continue my artistic and human evolution by living and working in New Mexico, Korea and now Taiwan. I want to continue exploring the concept of home and solitude in my work, something I couldn’t put into words, just images and colors. I believe my work is heading into a new realm of gratitude and possibility which gives my own life purpose and hope. I would like to continue traveling and learning about life and other cultures, and I’m committed as ever to adding beauty to the world. Thank you for your love and support!
