Angela Meijer

My name is Angela Meijer, and I dream and paint out loud. Inspired by abstract expressionism, I say my prayers through action painting. In other words, I throw, slather, and sling paint. Each painting is built up of transparent layers of acrylic paints, gels and mediums, and interference colors that interact with light. If I catch myself getting too serious about a piece, I purposefully take a risk. I have to be willing to mess it up in order to discover new places.
