Her recent exhibitions include Toledo's Artomatic 419! sponsored by the Arts Commission of Greater Toledo. Her artwork is described as bright, fun and inspirational and she chooses such themes as joy, purity and diversity. When asked about her inspiration, she mentions her biggest inspiration in God and His creation: the way things move and the construction of each piece within. She also attributes her introduction to art and creativity to her mother, Marcia, a Digital Graphic Artist and Media Coordinator who spent time helping Mercé realize her artistic interests and cultivate her drawing skills at a very young age. As a child, she was most influenced by such illustrators as Charles Schultz and Walt Disney. Today, in addition to Lisa Frank and Mike Orduña, Mercé’s influences include samples of Indian art of mango shaped drawings called paisley, and urban-ethnic art. Her interests currently include digital art, mixed media, fashion and makeup artistry. This is how she defines herself as a digital, mixed-media, fashion artist While Mercé’s heart is in Digital Art and graphics, her other interests include fashion, mixed-media and makeup artistry, which help to define her as a digital, mixed-media, fashion artist.
