I love dance. I love the sound of rain and waves. I love the way the sun peeks through the clouds. I love my friends and wish for their happiness. I love my family. I love photography and how it allows me to see better than my own eyes. I love pictures of people best of all.
My dream would be to work in a non-profit setting that allowed me to share my love of photography. I would love to be a volunteer coordinator, work with children, fight cancer. If I could combine these things: working with children with cancer and giving them a voice and outlet for their feelings and using the funds from their photos to support their own medical needs or to contribute to childhood cancer research... imagine the possibilities.
In May 2008, I joined The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. I raised over $4500 for LLS. I created this Imagekind Gallery as a fundraising means (although it generated more interest than revenue). I have kept it open with the hopes that I can still sell my work and put those earnings towards cancer research... towards that dream.
