I didn't travel out of my country of birth till I was almost 20, and when I did my trip lasted all of four hours, returning with no photos but a videotape of a R-21 movie, running an errand for a BBS (bulletin board service) mate.

The first time I traveled by plane was on assignment to cover a plane crash. I flew business class, and spent time at press conferences, hospitals, the morgue, and the closed-off airport runway.

Thankfully subsequent trips were more normal, so to speak, and I have photos to show for it. A number of them were exhibited publicly in Singapore, some in sizes as large as a study desk - thanks to print-on-demand technology.

I have lived in Japan for 18 months. This photo-mad nation is where every other photographic artist have a published book. A coffee table book is a nice goal; still I imagine some of you would rather enjoy a fine print hung on the wall.

This is where my imagekind gallery comes in. Enjoy.
