Although I am largely self-taught, I have been influenced by a diverse array of artists and art movements----non- Western art, children's art, folk art, the Impressionists and Post-Impressionists--particularly Manet and Cezanne, also the Fauvists, the American Ash-Can group of painters, etc. One of my goals for myself is to seek a good balance between working from observation and from imagination. I'm pleased to have found Imagekind as a venue for sharing my art and will be adding more images in the coming year.
