Lawrence Klimecki has been drawing stuff as long as he can remember. As the Creative Director for Studio Rampant and its' subsidiaries, he has been illustrating, designing logos, creating corporate identity packages, and involved in all aspects of graphic design, illustration, printing and publishing, for 30 years. Clients have included one person entrepreneurial companies, non-profit organizations, and religious institutions as well as major publishers.
His career began at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco where he majored in illustration. His academic education was supplemented with continued studies in typography, graphic design, and marketing.
After many years in the corporate world Lawrence decided to draw on his background as a freelance illustrator and designer and started "Studio Rampant," dubbed a "Catholic Design Firm" to reflect his growing involvement in the Church. Studio Rampant is a parent company to specialized divisions such as Art & Faith (a weblog of Lawrence's illustration and religious work), Logo Savvy (logo design and branding), and Gryphon Rampant (the publishing arm of Studio Rampant which publishes fine art prints and posters).
Lawrence is a popular speaker on "Faith and the Arts," providing the keynote address at the 2008 annual retreat for the Ecumenical Officers Committee.
In the fine art field Lawrence's work was featured in the inaugural national tour sponsored by The Foundation for Sacred Arts.
His illustration credits include "S is for Saints" published by Paulist Press, and "The Tripods Attack" published by Sophia Institute Press.
In June of 2008 Lawrence was ordained a permanent deacon in the Sacramento Diocese.
In 2009 he founded the Catholic Artists Guild
