I have been labeled an "outsider artist" by curators and gallery owners. I began sculpting and drawing quite suddenly in 1997 after a series of traumatic events that resulted in a disability. Art is therapeutic for me. Most of my work comes from my imagination and life experiences. I usually draw with pencils, including watercolor and oil pencils, and I sometimes paint with pastels.
