I'm a fine artist who is strongly interested in traditional techniques and materials. I make some of my own pigments and paints, and I always try to consider the sustainability of my art materials in general. I'm learning traditional techniques to make the best use of the older, more limited colors.

I work mainly in oil paints and ink drawings, with the occasional pastel drawing. I've dabbled in mixed-media illustration before, and may do so again someday. I mostly do portraiture, and currently I'm moving toward a Southwest flavor. I want to make portraits that show the light, spirit ...
