Well, I'm new to photography (a two year rookie) and I'm finding it to be delightfully challenging thus far. Obviously I have a passion for black and white portraiture and for selected colour images. I prefer photographing animals and people and I always carry my camera with me on the off chance something photograph worthy should happen. I'm still working with a Samsung point and shoot but I hope to be upgrading soonishly :)

My favorite part of digital photography, aside from taking the actual image, is playing around in photoshop. I think that there is a fine line between gently altering or manipulating an image and all out forcing it to be something it isn't. I adore colour selections or 'cutouts' as it draws the viewers focus to something that they would have otherwise perhaps ignored. I also prefer black and white portraiture to colour in most though certainly not all cases. I think that while colour imagery captures a moment in time, black and white photographs capture a memory.
