I'm interested in the idea of the painterly image, concentrating in the formal elements of painting and trying to continue the long tradition of painting which to many is dead. Painting is not dead, as a matter of fact I don't think it will ever be. Although new technological advances have made art making provocative and exciting, nothing can compare to the way oil, in my case, comunicate emotion. I'm in the process of discovering myself through my painting, going back and forth between abstraction and representation. Although at times this search for my own visual language is frightening I'm sure that I will come to it some how some day.
