The intellectual version -- Whimsical and mythological. Splashy and bright. A bold and recognizable central image provides a focal point. Spirals, splatters, and grids add texture, subtlety and a post-modern aesthetic. It has been called "folkloric surrealism."
Process:
Usually it's no plan, paint fast, make a mess. Sometimes I set up a scene, sketch, and work on a piece for days.
