i'm a special education math teacher for high school students with significant disabilities and a single mother of one lovely 13 year old boy. art is the way i stay sane. i love making my small paper collages -- the juxtaposition of surprising elements is intuitive and helps me stay in the "flow." i collect books, vintage and found papers, tissue and patterned papers. they are randomly collected and stored in boxes in my studio. a tower of boxes:) my larger, mixed media works are more emotion laden and take much longer to finish. something may hang on my walls for months before i realize what ...
