I have had two separate careers so far in my working lifetime. I spent 19 years employed by United Parcel Service, and then another 18 years primarily as a sales manager in the retail automotive business.

My interest in photography began long ago, but it have only had the time to pursue it seriously for the past 5 years or so. I guess you could say making photographic images is developing into career number three. I work primarily as a free lance stock photographer, with no interest in the usual pursuits like shooting weddings, studio portraits, etc.

My interest in photography began long ago, but it have only had the time to pursue it seriously for the past 5 years or so. I work primarily as a free lance stock photographer, with no interest in the usual pursuits like shooting weddings, studio portraits, etc.

Some of my stock shots have sold on several continents. One of my most successful images is that of a single large piece of coal isolated on a white background. That image has sold over 200 times.

I love getting outdoors in most any kind of weather to photograph landscapes, cityscapes, and the ships that sail the waters of the North American Great Lakes. I also rather enjoy what some would call the tedious work of post processing digital images.
