When I was 12 my mother took me to my first painting class; since then art has been a part of my identity. I love to create, and I am passionate about oil painting. My paintings reflect things that inspire me or touch my soul. When I walk through a farmer’s market and see gorgeous vegetables in dazzling colors, I feel inspired to paint them. That's what prompted me to paint the gourds and the peppers in my series. I look deeper and try to capture the beauty and vitality of these natural objects.
