Self taught, creative, enthusiastic and professional are among some of the words used to describe filmmaker/photographer, Kelvin Kinte. After working on "Straight Out of Brooklyn" in 1989, he went on to make his first feature film, "Gotta Be A Better Way (1991-1994)." The film was a finalist for the Gordon Park Film Awards for the Best Director. The film was shown at Clark Atlanta University and at the Mayfair Theatre, in Ottawa, Canada.
