Jerry Earls

Jerry Earls is a highly respected watercolorist who resides in the seaside community of Aptos, California. He is a graduate of UC Berkeley and the University of Leeds, England. In addition to academic based art programs at both UC Santa Cruz and Cabrillo College, he has studied extensively with master painters from both the United States and Europe.

Jerry Earls is a highly respected watercolorist who resides in the seaside community of Aptos, California. He is a graduate of UC Berkeley and the University of Leeds, England. In addition to academic based art programs at both UC Santa Cruz and Cabrillo College, he has studied extensively with master painters from both the United States and Europe.

After successful career as a consulting chemical engineer in a variety of industries, he was introduced to watercolor painting in 1998. His art training and interests have led him through the path of impressionist landscape and portrait painting to his current love of contemporary art production.

His recent works are a combination of organic objects coupled with rich environments of time and space. The paintings might best be described as “art meets science”.

He has produced and sold paintings in Europe, Mexico, Hawaii, and the continental United States.
