For 40 years my profession has been software engineering and my avocation has been art. Now that is reversed. I began painting and "went pro" about 5 years ago. I've earned an AAA and am working on an MFA in illustration through the Academy of Art University in San Francisco (on-line). Since summer 2007 I've been teaching life drawing and pastel painting at the Art Institute in Dallas; I've found that I really enjoy teaching - at least in the college environment, and intend to make teaching my second career.
