Lawrence Guy was a software developer for about ten years before he decided that he hated it and switched careers to Fine-Art Photography. As a consequence of the drop in pay he works odd jobs to support his photography.

Initially Lawrence Guy focused on Nature Photography. After some time he began taking workshops in figure-study, and then moved on to acquire his own studio. His work tends toward formalism, but recently he has begun expanding his vision to include expressionism, cubism, and the re-interpretation or modernization of classic works of art.
