Artist Statement Photography has been a hobby of mine since I received my first 110 film out-door only camera at the age of 8. I have only ever had point-and-shoot cameras in makes of Kodak, Canon and the most recent Olympus; always increasing capability with each new one I possess. I currently own an Olympus Tough 8000 and so far like it very much. My aluminum Apple Macbook comes with iPhoto which I use for altering my photos. It's a simple program but allows me to adjust levels or exposure and lighting, increase or fade colors, align photo, add border, or soften the entire picture, among others. I additionally have AdobeElements and need to experiment with it more. I try to enjoy the picture just as i took it and only altering at a minimum unless I am in a creative mood and want something eccentric. I also occasionally change the camera settings before I snap a photo thus creating a one-of-a-kind original.
