Description This photo was captured in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan as I was driving on U. S. Hwy 2 a few miles east of the Sturgeon River.I was traveling east on that highway in my full size Ford Econoline 150 van when I happened to look in my right side mirror and the at first glance it appeared the the forest behind me was on fire. I stopped my van to get a better look. Well the result was this photo. This scene was captured in a photo during the 2nd week of November of 1999 using a Kodak 215 2.1 megapixel camera.
Robert Orr, St. Johns, Az. Member Since December 2008 Artist Statement I recently moved from from Michigan to Arizona.
My author name is Excalibur R. FreedomReb
I am a Christian (about 3/4 Scottish & 1/4 Cherokee), who believe the Bible to be the Word of God. Also, I'm a staunch American Patriot, Jeffersonian, U.S. Constitutionalist. Chivalry is not dead here... I'm a red blood American Country Marine, half prospector and half cowboy (sort of John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart Clint Eastwood, Daniel Boone, Davy Crockett & Teddy Roosevelt rolled up into one 5'5½" tall [with my boots on] slightly over weight rockhound.
I'm originally from Michigan, USA (of course). I'm now living in Arizona, USA. I recently moved out here in the never ending pursuit of rock hunting (the hunting of geological beauties ...yes I'm a rockhound...) and it the never ending pursuit of photograph (captured with my Canon Rebel Digital 8.2 megapixel camera).
