DescriptionOne of the many stunning eroded mounds at Mungo National Park, in the far South West of New South Wales, Australia.A world heritage listed area, the Wilandra Lakes shows signs of human occupation stretching back 40,000 years. Once an extensive lake and wetland area, now an arid desert, it's an amazing example of how climate change isn't only a 21st century issue.
David Humphreys, Melbourne Member Since June 2007 Artist Statement Originally from the U.K., I relocated to the Southern Hemisphere in 1993. This beautiful, diverse and relatively strange new environment rekindled my interest in photography and the transfer to digital capture proved to be an added fillip.
I find photography the perfect excuse for getting outside and savouring the beauty of this world after a reasonably drastic change in lifestyle from rural to urban.
