Description In New Smyrna Beach, Florida on Art Center Blvd., near the Atlantic Center for the Arts, Murray Creek is a tidal estuary of environmental importance. Volusia County government recently bought the land on the right side of the painting to protect it from development. This site is believed to be part of the early Turnbull Plantation that existed here when there was little other development other than the town of St. Augustine. The belted kingfisher in the lower right corner surveys the brackishwater for the small fish that live here.
Robert Wince, New Smyrna Beach, Florida Member Since September 2009 Artist Statement I have been painting most of my life as a self-taught artist, but I have benefited from numerous classes and workshops. My work has been shown in galleries and outdoor art shows and I have won awards for my efforts. I paint mainly in acrylic and oil and my work ranges in size from 5"x7" to 36"x 60". I enjoy traveling and setting up my field easel in some beautiful area and painting what I see. Perhaps you've seen me painting in one of our national parks or hiking on a mountain trail. Many of the original paintings are still available for sale. email: firstname.lastname@example.org
