Jack Lepper, Palmyra, TN Member Since August 2012 Artist Statement Jack here. Also known as Big Jack or Jackson. I'm from Fort Campbell, KY, home of the 101st Airborne Division and proud of it. I currently reside in the tiny town of Palmyra, TN southwest of Clarksville, and I absolutely love the country life here. I'm an avid outdoorsman. Painting, drawing, horse racing, hunting, fishing, camping, golfing, playing my banjo and piano, and brewing beer are my passions. I'm a laid back, adventurous, straight forward, down to earth, and easy going guy who has had the passion to draw portraits and paint (preferably post-impressionist style) since I was 5 years old. I most definitely appreciate the simpler things in life. I see the beauty in both the great outdoors and the concrete jungle and I like to incorporate such beauties into my paintings. I've been drawing portraits and painting for family, friends, and customers for 11 years now and no matter how much or how little I make doing so, I will always follow my passion for art because I love it too much. I am currently a Senior at Troy University. In the meantime I continue to pursue my B.S. in Political Science majoring in American Politics with a minor in Business Managment. I currently work as a broadband technician for Charter Communication and I sell my drawings and paintings part-time. As for my future pathway in life with the passion for painting and drawing, with my conservative constitutionalist/economic libertarian principles, I would like to step in the arena of local politics performing my duty of working by the people, for the people, and with the people.
