Description This is a shot I took of a famous intersection in Princeton, NJ. Nassau Street is the main road that Princeton University is located on. Palmer Square is a hangout with a magazine stand, coffee shops, and other places of business.
Melissa Michal, Hamilton Member Since January 2010 Artist Statement My name is Melissa. I live in Mercer County, New Jersey. I have recently taken up photography as a hobby, in which I enjoy capturing images of architecture, nature, city life, and Caribbean landscape. I use a Canon Powershot SX 120 IS, a Canon Powershot A520, and a Nikon D3000. I have also been experimenting with film and different types of cameras.
My passions are art, music, writing, and reading. Some of my favorite things are: my husband, my pugs, Iggy Pop, Patti Smith, The Clash, The Ramones, punk rock, sunglasses, watches, Anthony Bourdain, old gangster movies, art deco, impressionism, Henri de Toulouse Lautrec, Andy Warhol, the ocean, and foreign languages.
I have a B.A. in journalism from Rutgers University, where I also minored in art history.
